Abstract: Inflation, a gradual rise in the price of goods and services over time, diminishes the purchasing power of money, affecting various segments of society differently. This abstract examines the nuanced effects of inflation on purchasing power, sectoral dynamics, and public perception. The erosion of buying power during inflation disproportionately impacts marginalized communities and fixed-income earners, constraining access to essential goods and services. Conversely, affluent groups may employ investment strategies to mitigate inflation's negative effects on their lifestyle. Different sectors respond unequally to inflationary pressures, with industries like housing and healthcare experiencing soaring costs, exacerbating affordability challenges for lower-income families, while discretionary spending-dependent sectors face fluctuating consumer demand and profitability. Public perception of inflation is intertwined with economic conditions and institutional trust. Vulnerable populations, grappling with the harsh realities of inflation, may harbour scepticism about policymakers' ability to address economic instability and safeguard their financial interests. Conversely, wealthier individuals may view inflation as manageable, relying on financial literacy and investment diversification to navigate turbulent economic environments. Understanding inflation's impact across society is crucial for fostering equitable economic outcomes and informed policy interventions. By recognizing the diverse experiences of individuals and sectors, policymakers can devise targeted measures to alleviate inflation's adverse effects and promote inclusive economic growth.

Abstract: This article delves into the timely topic of multinational corporations and organizations requesting employees to return to physical office spaces. While some may view this as a return to normalcy, it is important to consider the varying work arrangement preferences of both employees and management. The research digs into why companies are under pressure to have employees work from the office amidst the constantly changing work arrangements. We surveyed both employees and management using a questionnaire to know about their wants and dislikes. We surveyed 300 individuals using convenient sampling to collect data from diverse groups. The resultant dataset comprises a representative sample of viewpoints from the target population, which lends credibility and validity to the study's findings. The questionnaire had 27 questions for employees and management. It covered work arrangements, productivity, and satisfaction. A 5-point Likert scale rated responses. It was available on mobile and online platforms. We used Cronbach's alpha to ensure questionnaire reliability. The score was 0.82, indicating excellent reliability. We thoroughly analyzed data gathered from 300 employees to gain valuable insights into their perspectives on remote work versus office work. Our analysis involved the use of pie charts to organize respondents' demographic information, as well as bar graphs to identify the factors that led companies to promote office work. In addition, we utilized bar graphs to explore the difficulties encountered during remote work and to measure satisfaction and productivity levels between remote work and desk work. We conducted a chi-squared test to determine if there was a correlation between gender and productivity levels during admin work and interpreted the results to accept or reject the null hypothesis. The findings suggested that Companies are pushing for work-from-office due to their focus on maintaining organizational culture and collaboration. Remote working cannot foster work relationships, innovation, and creative idea exchange. We conducted a chi-squared test to determine if there is a correlation between gender and employee productivity while working from the office. Our analysis and interpretation of the test revealed that there is indeed a relationship between an employee's gender and their productivity level. We can safely say that remote work offers flexibility, independence, and cost savings, but many companies still prefer working physically in the office. They believe it fosters collaboration, preserves company culture, addresses security and compliance needs, and supports certain job functions.
